What is Crossfit?
CrossFit is a program designed around constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity. We do our best to incorporate exercises that directly relate to the tasks performed throughout our daily lives. The intensity level is high, but this is relative to each individual – meaning that we encourage each crossfitter to perform to the best of their ability. We focus on all aspects of fitness and strive for constant improvement in the following areas: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy.
Crossfit is a proven method that is community developed and has scientific data to support it. We will measure and track all your results. This is not only pertaining to bodyweight and measurements, but also the actual results of the workouts. We track all times, reps and the quantity of weight used. We believe this encourages the CrossFitter to strive to an elite level ultimately showing improvement both physically and mentally. Each workout becomes a competition against yourself.
For the elite athlete, CrossFit offers opportunities to compete against fellow Crossfitters in competitions throughout the U.S. CrossFit has become the “sport of fitness.”
How Do I Get Started?
WE WELCOME ALL FITNESS LEVELS!! Whether you are an elite athlete or have never worked out a day in your life, CrossFit Covington will work for you!!
When you sign up for CrossFit you will be required to attend 2 weeks of beginner classes to properly introduce the basic concepts of CrossFit. During this phase, proper technique and safety will be stressed. Please click on the following link below to register for beginner classes:

Once you have completed the introduction phase, you will be ready to participate in our regular group class Workout Of the Day (WOD). The WOD will vary on a daily basis. Our workouts typically include weightlifting (both power and Olympic), bodyweight movements (pull-ups, push-ups, squats, etc.), cardiovascular activities (running, rowing, jumproping, etc), and the basics of gymnastics. We scale everything according to the individual’s fitness level. Check out our Home Page for a list of previous WODS.
We believe that the group workouts inspire motivation. Your fellow classmates will encourage you to not only complete the workout, but also to push yourself harder than if you were working out alone.
If at the end of the beginner phase, you do not feel comfortable entering the classes, we do offer personal training as well.
